March 23, 2025 Talich Quartet This season WCMS will feature an ensemble that represents multiple generations of Czech musical excellence. The Talich Quartet was named for world-renowned Czech Philharmonic conductor Vaclav Talich, founded by Vaclav’s nephew Jan Talich, Sr. in 1964 and now features first violinist Jan Talich Jr.
April 6, 2025 Akropolis Reed Quintet This ensemble made up of five reed players has been described as a “collective voice driven by real excitement and a sense of adventure.”  The GRAMMY®-nominated group is winner of seven national awards including the 2014 Fischoff Gold Medal and has three albums that have charted on Billboard Classical.
May 18, 2025 Black Oak Ensemble This celebrated violin, viola and cello collaborative explores undiscovered works and commissions new compositions for the genre. The ensemble’s well-received CDs include “Avant l’orage,” a album of French string trios that reached #1 in the Billboard Classical Charts in July 2022 which was nominated for a 2023 ICMA International Chamber Music Award.
